TDK's D2406 is a Linear Tape-Open 3(LTO-3) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 680m which enables a native data storage capacity of 400GB that can be expanded up to 800GB when compressed. It features the use of a shock resistant cartridge mechanism to prevent against damage and a 4KB cartridge memory chip for quick file access. The TDK D2406 tape cartridge has a compressed data transfer rate that reaches 80MB/s.
