Sony's GW-730L is a Digital Tape Format 1(DTF-1) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 732 meters and a native data storage capacity of 60GB.It combines the features of 1/2 Inch technology with a metal particle tape. The tape cartridge makes use of a lubricant to protect the tape's surface, control friction and maintain an optimum head-to-head contact. The Sony GW-730L tape cartridge meets the ISO/IEC 15731 standard and employs a new production technique that allows for minimal tape shrinkage, reduces tape deformation and offers long-term precise and stable tracking.
