| Sony DGD125P DDS-3 is a Digital Data Storage 3(DDS-3) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 125 meters which enables a native data storage capacity of 12GB that can be expanded up to 24GB when compressed. It features the use of Sony's High Cross-Linkage (HCL) binder which minimizes friction and enables the tape to keep performing for up to 2000 read/write cycles. Sony’s DGD125P tape uses a dual-layer coating compromising an ultra-thin magnetic layer and a nonmagnetic layer. This special magnetic layer provides high output even in the high frequency ranges required for high-density recording. The nonmagnetic layer creates a smooth surface to support tape travel stability and durability. |
