Sony SDX3-100C AIT-3 is an Advanced Intelligent Tape 3(AIT-3) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 230 meters which enables a native data storage capacity of 100GB that can be expanded up to 200GB when compressed. It features the use of AME (Advance Metal Evaporated) technology combined with Sony's DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) layer that help in increasing the life and reliability of the data and R-MIC(Remote Memory in Cassette) technology which provides rapid access to desired data and greatly reduced loading and ejection times. The use of Helical Scan Technology enables the Sony SDX1-25C to sustain a 12MB/s native data transfer rate. The Sony SDX3-100C comes sealed in a transparent plastic casing which helps prevent dust and static accumulation.Scalable AIT format:
