| HP Q1998A AIT-2 tape is an Advanced Intelligent Tape 2 (AIT-2) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 230 meters which enables a native data storage capacity of 50GB that can be expanded up to 100GB when compressed. It features the use of AME (Advance Metal Evaporated) technology with built in MIC (Memory in Cassette) technology giving faster file access and higher reliability. It also features the Diamond-Like-Carbon coating which enables high recording density, improved signal-to-noise ratio and significantly lower tape tension and the use of a helical scan recording method further enhances the life span of the media. The HP Q1998A AIT-2 comes sealed in a transparent plastic casing which helps prevent dust and static accumulation. |
