| HP Q1997A AIT-1 tape is an Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 170 meters which enables a native data storage capacity of 35GB that can be expanded up to 70GB when compressed. It features the use of AME (Advance Metal Evaporated) technology combined with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating that enables a high recording density and MIC (Memory in Cassette) technology which offers faster file access, increased reliability and higher data integrity. The AIT's unique recording head and a third less tape tension enable this tape cartridge to have a longer life cycle than other tape technologies. The HP Q1997A comes sealed in a transparent plastic casing which helps prevent dust and static accumulation. |
