AME (Advanced Metal Evaporated) tape technology reduces the need for periodic head cleaning thanks to its DLC protecting layer.Sony SAIT1-500 is a Super Advanced Intelligent Tape 1(SAIT-1) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 600 meters which enables a native data storage capacity of 500GB that can be expanded up to 1300GB when compressed. It features the use of (Advance Metal Evaporated) AME technology which provides high-density recording and increased reliability. The Sony SAIT1-500 has an innovative cartridge mechanism that improves loading/unloading of the tape. It also features a 30MB/s native data transfer rate thanks to the Helical Scanning System used for this tape media.
